Ok Dreamers...I am still processing the evening that was the Ultimate Audition Technique Seminar with WooWoo Goddess Natalie and the Sharktastic Jen!!! Each of us was treated with such a gentle ease and specific brand of grace from Nat before entering the room and once inside Jen let us have it with the conviction of a pro and the tools to far exceed all our own expectations! Their beautiful combination of grace and grit took all our performances to the next level and watching others was just as rewarding as being in the room! A definite MUST for all dreamers!! Thank you ladies for a wonderful and insightful evening of truth, professionalism and a wonderful glimpse into what we can become as artists when we trust ourselves enough to trust others with our gifts 💜✨💜 #TheAGRexperience

Okay. Ready for another testimonial about last night's Jen and Natalie's Excellent Adventure called the Ultimate Audition Technique Class? It was such a special, enlightening, warm, nurturing, fun, inspiring evening - that I didn't want to see come to an end. (And - it almost didn't! Almost an all-nighter! Fabulous!) Here's the thing: we go to auditions - we do what we do - and the reaction can be whatever it's gonna be. So - we leave thinking whatEVER our crazy brains allow us to think. But - Jen took us through what casting directors ACTUALLY are thinking! And what they ACTUALLY NEED from us. There were no punches pulled! Sides were ripped up and shot out back! Illusions were punctured! And - lives were transformed. Seriously. That's not just me being effusive. (Althought there's that, too. I can help it, if I wanted to. I don't want to...) It was thrilling to see actor after actor - going in there and yes - I honestly was really impressed with EVERYONE's first read. #whatdoIknow? THEN - Jen did her thing - and WHAT??? Each person got the Magical Unicorn Deluxe Treatment - and their second and sometimes third take was WHOOSH - ASTONISHING! What Jen did in there with each actor was eye-opening - for all of us. Natalie laid fertile, luscious groundwork for each of us before we went in to be on-camera - by inviting us to share our dark, shaky, fears, illusions, and expectations - so we could just get in there to live in the moment. It was one of the most wonderful experiences - ever. Our fellow AGRtists - oh my GOD! SO much talent - so much heart! I've been at this a long time - and I love actors - but - what we have here at AGR is something so special. The generosity (JENerosity!)! It's palpable! And - I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. I didn't really do it justice here. It's the kind of thing we can talk about - but it's an experiential thing. One must experience it to benefit from it. My deep, heartfelt gratitude to Jen Rudolph. Yeah - we call her a magical unicorn, a goddess, a shark. She's all that. She also has one of the most loving hearts and beautiful spirits I've ever come across. You think anyone else out there is doing this? You think anyone else out there would take the time and energy to nurture, adjust, encourage, fine-tune EACH one of us - even when we went into overtime? It was pretty thrilling to get to witness. And that Natalie Roy? Come ON!!! This woman is the dearest! The best! She SO gets us - she SO knows how to help us get to what we REALLY want - which is to be happy and peaceful, so we can attain our true, bright destinies. And Josh Hemphill and Shannon Lynn Hamm-Esper - who couldn't do well with THESE two in the room??? (One look at those two faces beaming at me - and the nervies melted.) So - I gotta stop. You may have actually stopped reading a while ago. If you're still with me - thanks! I leave you with this quote from Isak Dineson. It always makes me cry. I can't even say it out loud. Which is nuts. But - this is what AGR does for us - it gives us leave to do our utmost... And that's all we can ask, really, to just be allowed to use the gifts we've been given…

I just had to write a little more about the intensive with you & Natalie. I'm still riding the cloud I left on! My god. The combination of the two of you, it is really something you should utilize as often as possible!! I adore both of you individually, but the ways you are different, actually highlight the ways in which you each excel. You together bring up great stories/questions we may not have even known about, but we are there with you INSIDE the conversation. Riveting! To begin, everyone was so damn excited!!! Even the nervous people were "nervous, but EXCITED!" Many very nervous, it's normal, but I was like, freaking flying so high just being there, waiting to begin. As usual, people knew other people or were meeting the people they knew thru thumbnail pictures. AGR Online was a really great creation!! We all kind of just know each other now! It's such a fun environment. I was not sure how the first half would go with Natalie. I had to go thru many many years just getting comfortable in my own skin. I practiced meditation and went on a bit of a spiritual journey, but I needed to do it alone. So I will usually participate in spiritual practices or personal work, but for me it just seemed to work better alone. I wasn't sure what Natalie was going to teach me. But again, I'm open! I will always take part, b/c honestly, wtf do I know??! Right? She was hired to do this, so she must be amazing. AND SHE WAS. She was so earnestly happy, excited, such an intelligent, confident, and thoughtful person! And you're just there thinking, my god, I could sit and discuss these ideas for hours with her! It is so refreshing to meet an instructor/coach/person in general really, who is so genuine and magnetic. With so much positive stuff to say. Thank you for bringing her into AGR. When I met you a year ago at my 1st consult, I felt you didn't get to know me, and I realized that is mostly the point. What you see right away is what everyone will see…right away. That is what you have to hone. What is at your core, yes, but you have to connect that to your outside appearance. Meld. As a stand up, I of course wanted to impress you immediately with my wit:) I did not! Haha! (seriously, LOL) That is another example of learning from everything! You not laughing at my introduction, kind of snapped me to attention as to just how much of a business this is. In business, there is not always time for hilarious brevity. You really need to work hard and work smart. So thank you for that! So eye opening and helpful! A year later, many classes/intensives/workshops, meetings, 72 hour shoot outs, networking, studying for hours on Quicktime to see how I look on "tv"/in scene work, etc etc etc. I haven't been called in an office though, in a LONG time. I started to get paranoid, almost nervous. And I have always "loved the journey", but was I doing something wrong?? Something I missed? Then I was blessed getting into this class, I knew if anything was up- you would tell me immediately. I was just so excited to show you that I can pick a great scene, stand out, that I make unique, entertaining and interesting choices, and that I am a smart actor!! A La: "Be so good they can't ignore you"-Steve Martin. I'm so glad you liked the scene, and my choices! I'm hoping someday to get back into Jen Euston's office (amongst everything else---OITNB!!!!!), and your class really helped me see it's not about anything I did last time I was in that office. It is about the perfect actor/person for the part. I WILL get back in that office!! Just like Natalie's 3 year hiatus from Ross' office! Inspiration! Sorry so long, I know, I'm verbose. But I wanted to make sure you got all the thank you's and praise I had still in my brain. XOXOXO
