Meet the AGR Los Angeles Staff
Jennifer Rudolph, Owner
Jennifer has always had a passion for helping actors succeed. She spent the first 10 years of her career as a casting director under the tutelage of Jeff Mitchell and eventually became a partner at Mitchell/Rudolph Casting. Jennifer has cast over 40 films and television shows and has helped start the careers of such actors as Michelle Monaghan, Kate Bosworth and Ian Somerhalder, While a casting director, Jennifer began teaching audition technique classes and from there created The Actor's Green Room. She believes that every actor has an organic spark that if nurtured properly can become something amazing. To quote FIELD OF DREAMS, "if you build it, they will come."
Jeff Mitchell, Vice President of AGR Los Angeles
Jeff has had a long career in the film and TV business. As a teen, Jeff started his career as an actor in soap operas, film and over 200 TV commercials. He then earned his bachelor's degree in acting from New York University's Tish School of the Arts and Circle in the Square theatre conservatory. In 1986, Jeff launched J. Mitchell Management. The company established and developed the careers of dozens of well known film and TV personalities. In 2000, Jeff established Jeff Mitchell Casting. It was while casting the TV series, The Young Americans, that Jeff met and collaborated with a young girl who was the assistant to the President of Mandalay Television. That girl was Jennifer Rudolph. When the series was cancelled, Miss Rudolph, who had discovered her love of working with actors, left Mandalay to join Jeff in their new company, Mitchell Rudolph Casting. From 2000 to 2008, their prestigious casting credits include Transformers for Dreamworks, GI Joe for Paramount, Friday Night Lights for Universal, Spy Kids 2 for Dimension, Flipped for Rob Reiner, Weeds for Showtime and Mad TV for FOX. In 2011, JMM became MKS&D, and Jeff opened offices in Los Angeles. With so much experience in all aspects of the talent business, Jeff’s joining the AGR team to forge into Los Angeles, marks the reunion of a long creative collaboration between Jeff and Jen and a great opportunity for the AGR actors.
Alison Whitney is one tough, New York (actress), cookie! She decided to take her show on the road to LA after an Actor's Green Room LAXplore trip and she has not looked back. After completing her studies at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Alison has booked film, television, and commercial work on both coasts. Alison loves all things funny, and keeps up her comedy and improv skills at The Groundlings. She is excited to be a part of the Actor's Green Room team in LA and understands that it is, after all, show BUSINESS! To booking jobs!
Chris is an actor, comedian, and part-time musician, as well as a former Division II Collegiate Kickball player. Hailing originally from Boston, MA, he was lucky enough to book fairly consistent work between there and NYC without ever having the misfortune of being brought up as a Yankees fan. After saving up enough money and the closing of a recent Off-Broadway stint, Chris decided it was time to try out the West Coast and packed up the majority of his life. Thankfully AGR’s manifest destiny coincided with his own move, so it’s almost as if some higher power planned this out for him (cough cough Jen cough). Currently Chris is settling into his new apartment here in LA and loving every second of it. Follow his progress and sunburns here: @OReillyFacktor
Corey comes by way of New York, Wisconsin, and Nashville. Now he lives in a guest house in LA that some have described as "good enough!" Credits you would actually care about include the original off-Broadway run of Next To Normal and the revival of Stephen King's Carrie at the Lucille Lortel Theater. He can also be seen on the Adult Swim hit, Delocated and in the upcoming film, Welcome Home. Corey had an extended run of Outlaws: The Ballad of Billy the Kid, as Billy, in the New York Musical Theater Festival. Of the production, Backstage wrote, "This Billy is like the antihero immortalized by James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause." Other theater highlights include Academy in South Korea (where he won a DIMF award for Best Supporting Actor), Florida, and NYMF (Best Ensemble) and Matthew in Altar Boyz at New World Stages. He has also been involved with numerous workshops, including Ace, Bare, and the High School Musical franchise. Sometimes he is seen on commercials. Sometimes he is heard on them. Corey is passionate about new material and scene work and couldn't have found a better fit than working with other actors at AGR. He also loves guacamole. @toweyboardman
Three weeks after arriving in LA, Kate booked a guest starring role on “Bones” and decided to take the leap and make the move out west. A native New Yorker and seasoned actor, she has appeared on TV, on Broadway and Off-, in numerous regional theatre productions and went out on the road for a year and a half in the first national tour of “Spring Awakening.” Her credentials include a B.A. from Brown University and post-graduate training from the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. After attending multiple AGR workshops in New York and taking part in LAXplore, she firmly believes in Jen’s mission and that AGR is an excellent resource for actors, casting directors and agents, alike. www.katehampton.net
Kylie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma & in her youth, she somehow managed to convince her parents to take her to Los Angeles. Shortly after her mom packed up the SUV & drove cross-country, she started working professionally as a teenager, starring in IFC Films' "Pizza" opposite Ethan Embry, & hasn't looked back since, working steadily in television, digital series, movies, commercials, theatre, & giving impromptu shows on street corners or your local Starbucks. Besides acting, Kylie also is a trained singer & has also produced & written things for the internet, including producing cult webseries "LA Girls," featured in Variety, with her producing partner Tiffany Ariany & is currently developing her first screenplay so that one day someone will throw money at her to make & star in it. Besides hanging out at Actor's Green Room (the coolest place in LA), Kylie has studied with a lot of people, including acting coaches Marnie Cooper & Brian Reise (who she studies with currently), UCB & Second City, Kalmenson & Kalmenson, vocal coach Peisha McPhee, & Holds a BA in Theatre with a Musical Theatre emphasis & an unofficial minor in Shenanigans from the University of Southern California. When she's not making people laugh to pay her rent, she volunteers with Pug Nation Rescue, can be found at SoulCycle, & drinks way too much coffee to keep up with her pug Scarlett & corgi-mix Pie. She recently leveled up as a human after being Verified on Twitter. @kyliesparks (twitter/instagram), www.kyliesparks.com
Laura is an actress and comedian who is fresh off the boat (well, plane) from NY and is very happy to have the Actor's Green Room family in L.A. She's been seen on 30 Rock, in numerous commercials, and on the sketch comedy YouTube channels BarelyPolitical and the Key of Awesome. She is currently studying at UCB LA, and has graduated from the William Esper Studio, the People's Improv Theater, and that theater school Colgate University, all in New York. She is very excited to share the magic of AGR West with the actors of L.A.
Lauren's passion for performance and production started as a child, when she created and produced her own VHS television show, Way Cool. This passion grew, bringing her West from her roots in Baltimore. Recently, Lauren has been seen on Parks and Recreation, in the Award winning short film, Cordially Invited, and in numerous commercials. She also volunteers with Mutts Matter Rescue and The Pet Matchmaker to save animals in need. She is jazzed to be a part of the AGR family and looks forward to succeeding together. www.MsLaurenWhite.com
Leah was born and raised in New York and will truly enjoy skipping the Polar Vortex this year (and hopefully for many more years to come)! After graduating from The University of Virginia, she trained at The Upright Citizens Brigade in New York and she will begin classes at Groundlings in January. Leah has a Guest Star on How To Get Away With Murder (ABC) and has appeared in a multitude of commercials and films. She can also be seen in some sketch comedy videos created by Maker Studios and Nacho Punch. She has always had a great love for AGR and is beyond thrilled to be joining the team here on the west coast (which she now refers to as the best coast)! www.LeahLamarr.com
Mason is a good ol' southern boy from Virginia, and recent LA transplant. After receiving a BA in Film Studies from George Mason University, he continued training at The Stella Adler studio in NYC; where he worked in numerous Theatrical, Film, Print, and Commercial projects, including The Tribeca Film Festival and FringeNYC. He is stoked to continue his AGR journey, as a new edition to the LA Staff, and looks forward to the new chapter ahead...as long as there's a buffet.
Mayank is a native New Yorker who has made Los Angeles his new home. Having come out west with TV credits under his belt, Mayank knows that it’s so much more than just “talent”. While important, at the end of the day it’s called show “business” - so having a plan, and thinking of himself as the CEO of his own corporation, really shifted his game. He enjoys working on camera and has visited LA a few times before making the big move. He brings the working street smarts of NYC to the entertainment-oriented town of LA. For those who are on their game, The Actor’s Green Room is a great place where actors can meet industry guests in a relaxed, intimate, and professional setting - with a highly capable yet warm staff to help you do your best! Mayank has been on USA’s White Collar, FOX’s The Following, SHOWTIME’s Nurse Jackie, and recently FOX’s Gotham. Mayank enjoys teaching others about financial literacy. www.MayankSaxena.com www.DontBeAbrokeActor.com
