Mara has cultivated the careers of many young actors and loves to scout new talent. She has put many of her clients in starring roles from prime time television to studio films. She has had much success placing children on Disney and Nickelodeon shows.
Mara has groomed many young actors, including Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl). Most notably as an agent, Mara booked Brandon Routh in the title role of Superman Returns, and not only discovered, but developed the careers of three leading actors from the franchise box office phenomenon Twilight. Mara also put a once unknown actor, Chord Overstreet, on one of Fox’s top rated shows, Glee, in the role of Sam Evans.
We do not offer refunds but we do offer credit. In order to receive a credit for a class, event, or intensive cancellations must be made up to 7 days in advance. To cancel a booking please log in to your account , click on "View Bookings," and select the class event or intensive you would like to cancel. You will see the "cancel booking" option below. A credit for the amount paid will be issued back to your AGR account within 24 hours and can be used towards future bookings.
If you cancel within 7 days of the class, event, or intensive due to sickness or industry related work, we require a doctor's note or proof of work in order to issue a credit. If you cancel within 24 business hours of the class, event, or intensive and/or are a no-show then no credit will be issued under any circumstances.
Mara moved to Los Angeles after attending Point Park College in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, majoring in Theatre and minoring in Psychology. Within 2 months, she took a full time job at one of the top commercial agencies in Hollywood, then named Joseph, Helfond & Rix (now Kazarian, Measures, Ruskin, & Associates) where she ended up working for 19 years.
At the end of 2007, Mara made a career move into management and joined Luber Roklin Entertainment, a prestigious company that represents actors, writers and directors, and has a music division/distribution deal with Warner Music Group. The company has also ventured into production and has producing credits on several films including Evan Almighty starring Steve Carell, and the box office hit Bride Wars starring Kate Hudson & Anne Hathaway.
