Week One: The Heart, the Head and the Bank
Learn what you are really selling in commercials, why your heart is your most important tool and how to unlock the audition experience. We’ll get specific about the preparation that will set you apart and foolproof tools to bring your authentic self to your audition. We’ll zone in on type-appropriate wardrobe and audition etiquette. Each actor will be given cold-read sides, put on camera and given adjustments.
Week Two: Alternative Facts, Eat this, Copy that.
In our second class, we’ll look at common sabotage habits and just plain wrong ideas that may be shutting down your instincts before you arrive. We’ll learn how to find the story arc even when there’s no dialogue, realistically present food or any product on camera, how to relax into longer format sides on cards, deal with medical jargon, how to create instant relationship with kids/families and what it takes to stand out in group auditions. Actors will perform sides they were emailed the night before and be given adjustments.
Wait List Policy
If a class is sold out, you can sign up for a spot on the wait list.
If a spot opens, the wait list is notified via email and the spot is sold on a first come, first served basis.
If you do not get the spot, you do not need to rejoin the wait list.
We do not offer refunds, but we do offer credit. Cancellations must be made 7 days or more in advance of a class, event, or intensive in order to receive a credit. You can cancel the class online in our booking system or via email.
Unless otherwise noted, if you cancel within 7 days of the class, event, or intensive due to sickness or industry related work, we require a doctor's note or proof of work in order to issue a credit.
Cancellations within 24 business hours of the class, event, or intensive and/or no-shows will NOT be credited under any circumstance. For example, if your class is on Sunday, you must cancel before the end of business on Friday.
