Dr. C. Picara Vassallo
Dr. Picara has been a licensed acupuncturist since 2009 and received both her Master's and Doctorate from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Her B.A in psychology from University of Pennsylvania helped lay the foundation for her work as one of the only Doctors of Oriental Medicine in the United States to focus on the prevention and treatment of stress related disorders. She has also spent nearly a decade studying wholistic healing systems such as 5 Element acupuncture,
Spirit of the Herbs, and Whole Heart Connection under Thea Elijah and has been fortunate to train with some of the brightest lights in the field.
Dr Picara has experience with the creative lifestyle both directly and indirectly. She is a poet and model and in the fall of 2016 helped to produce the play "Phoenix Rising" during it's successful run on Theater Row. Her client list includes major motion picture producers, Broadway performers, Cannes award winners, playwrights, New York Times noted poets, directors of film and stage, song writers and Grammy nominated musicians, national commercial and major motion picture actors, casting directors, acting coaches and many other types of creatives. Dr. Picara has a collaborative approach to healing and works very closely with her clients unique gifts to help co-facilitate their own healing and growth. Her deep study into stress and overwork contribute to her ability to speak directly to some of the most pressing issues facing the creative community.
