"I didn't know what I didn't know until I started attending the C.R.E.A.T.E. workshops with Natalie Roy and Kristin Hanggi. Everything about C.R.E.A.T.E. is wonderful. Natalie and Kristin's energy, their warmth, the information they share and the exercises all add up to creating an environment of growth, and for me and many others, of breakthroughs. Through a visualization led by Natalie, I came face to face with the demon that keeps me safe, stalled and going no where. I didn't know of its existence until then. Others were having amazing journeys and I feared I had failed. I spoke up and shared my experience (having attended before, I was confident it was safe to share). I was met with the most amazing blanket of kindness, understanding and encouragement. I took leaps and bounds that night towards a better me. Natalie and Kristin make everyone feel like they are in the right place, at the right time, learning what they need to learn. What more can you ask for?"
I have been going to CREATE for about 2-2 1/2 months now. And I am truly impressed by the professionalism of Natalie Roy and Kristin Hanggi. But most importantly, I have been awestruck by the people I have came across and the new relationships I have acquired since then. By going the last few times, it forced me to look inside and come to grips with my own road blocks... MANY I'm still dealing with but don't want to admit too. I've also learned a valuable lesson to be truly supportive of my fellow actors. The times that I have posted an audition, I've received a tremendous amount of supports from complete strangers I have never met. At first it was surprising, but then I found myself doing the same. Through CREATE... I've come to realize that we are never alone in our own journey. And we will always have inspiring and motivated individuals to lift us up when we are most at need. I could go on with many more, but I will spare people the novel😉. Thank you CREATE for doing what you do!!!
"If you haven’t come to a C.R.E.A.T.E. workshop or heard of it, it’s truly time to climb out from under your rock. C.R.E.A.T.E. workshops not only give you effective tools and inspiration in moving through issues and self-empowerment, but they offer an incredible opportunity to connect and build caring relationships with people who have a deep understanding and bond with you living this life as an actor and artist. As working actors, we are often very isolated, particularly when it comes to more intimacy (not physical) in our relationships. Many of us will work in shows, classes, or on sets and develop familial bonds with the people we work with. When those finite experiences end, we often are left missing the intimacy and close bonds. We go to our auditions, classes, workshops, and such and might see people we know, and although those “hellos & hugs” are meaningful, they are often fleeting. C.R.E.A.T.E. offers a life changing type of space for actors to meet, engage in enlightening discussion, share sometimes tough issues, and if we don’t find others with common struggles, we ALWAYS receive and give tremendous support to one another in ways you may not get much of in your life. You’re part of building a magnificent community. There is a divine learning, give and take that happens at C.R.E.A.T.E. that lifts people to a new level of connection and support in their lives. There is a very good reason this workshop, and the C.R.E.A.T.E. community, continues to grow and expand: it’s simply incredible. If you haven’t, go ahead and take a giant step in growing as an actor and human being and take the small step into a C.R.E.A.T.E. workshop."
"C.R.E.A.T.E. has changed my relationship to my work. We are told and taught what a difficult, if not impossible, business we are in. The work I have done in C.R.E.A.T.E. has reminded me that I do this work because I love it, not to get recognition from others. I do this work regardless of whether someone casts me or not. I do this work because it is what makes my soul sing and it isn't any of my business what other people think about it. This has freed me up to actually like auditions because I GET TO act for an audience (one of my most favorite things to do). It no longer feels like life or death. And if I don't get cast it isn't about me. AND C.R.E.A.T.E. has helped me to understand that the work I do every day (audiobook narration) is a huge gift. I am so grateful. I wish I lived in the city and could go to each class offered."
"Navigating the acting scene can sometimes seem daunting, lonely and overwhelming. Regardless of where you are in your journey, a little help can be very welcoming. With Natalie and Kristen's C.R.E.A.T.E. program, you will get A LOT of help in tapping into your inner self in order to achieve what you want. The sense of support, community and positive vibes are NOTHING that I have seen or experienced before. Words cannot do C.R.E.A.T.E. justice. You have to experience it for yourself."
"I cannot explain what just happened to me at the C.R.E.A.T.E. workshop tonight. I knew I would find peace, but I didn't expect an awakening. Surrounded by the love of my AGRFAMILY and guided by earth angels Kristin Hanggi and Natalie Roy, I was able to acknowledge and let go of something that has been a part of my DNA for my entire life. I am imperfect and I am enough. I know you are enough too. If you haven't been yet, sign up ASAP. You will not regret it. It's transformational."
"Last night's C.R.E.A.T.E. was my most expansive yet! I feel like my heart grew 10 times it's size and my intuitive awareness of myself and all those beautiful souls around me expanded out like the big bang and will only keep expanding and growing! Thank you Natalie Roy and Kristin Hanggi for creating such a safe space for getting intimate with ourselves and exposing all our LOVABLE parts!"
"I attended my first C.R.E.A.T.E. class tonight and feel forever changed. A HUGE thank you to Natalie Roy and Kristin Hanggi for creating this beautiful, safe, positive, and magical place where a room full of strangers became a room full of people I could trust with myself. If you haven't been to C.R.E.A.T.E. yet, run there...it will change you and move you."
"At the beginning of 2016, I attended a Create session with Natalie and wrote my Bhavana for the year. In it, I wrote that my short film, "The Weekend," which I co-wrote/co-produced/starred in, would get into Cannes, that I would book a Crest commercial, travel to LA for some professional reason, and find an agent. Every single one of those things (and then some!) has happened so far, and I'm in complete awe of what learning to have deeper faith and dismantling the sneaky walls of my own resistance has begun to develop into...A career!! Creating my own work for the first time was incredibly scary and vulnerable, and it has opened up doors I could have never imagined. A project my friends and I made in my apartment over a period of 5 days has been seen around the world at 23 accredited film festivals, and won over 11 awards. I've personally been awarded Best Actress twice, both at New York City International Film Festival, and Chain NYC Film Festival, and the wins just keep on coming! Cannes was a BRILLIANT learning experience, and I just found out that "The Weekend" will be screened at the LA International Film Festival on October 16th! The amazing thing is that just last week I was having breakfast with a friend and I declared out loud, "I'm going to LA next month. I can feel it." And BAM - here it is!! Although the national Crest commercial I shot has not yet been released, there's still hope that it might be at some point in the future. My brilliant manager, Jenevieve Brewer, who I of course met through you, has been such a solid rock in my life over the past few years. She's helped me develop into an artist who is fearless and faithful that greatness is manifesting around every corner. She introduced me to my brand new agent, Glenn Bickel! Glenn was an agent at CAA for many years before starting his own agency, Creative Ventures. I am beyond grateful to have found my creative team, and I truly believe the sky is the limit!"
"II'm so excited to let you know that I have just spent five days on the set of CBS's show Bull, shooting my first-ever network television co-star role -- and I want to personally thank you for your help in making this milestone possible!! It is thanks to AGR that I started working with the inimitable manager Brandon Cohen of BAC Talent, who introduced me to casting director Kathleen Chopin's office. About a year ago, he posted in the Green Lounge that he was opening up his roster, and so I submitted; the rest is history. I'm grateful that Jen has created such a wonderful and supportive forum, wherein such a connection could occur. It's a beautiful, special community, and it wouldn't exist without you! Furthermore, as my bhavana partners Michelle Simone Miller and Shannon Hamm will tell you, I've been following Natalie's advice and supplementing my constant, years-long hard work on my craft, with the inner work that she and Kristin espouse in CREATE. Through the practice of creating bhavanas, I've become much more specific about the type of work that I want to do, and the positive spirit in which I want to do it. This, in turn, has transformed my auditions and performances. I went in for Kathleen Chopin for Bull multiple times, feeling as though I'd left it all on the field and done the best that I could do for each and every role. (She is terrific, by the way; she clearly loves actors, and wants them to succeed, which makes for a wonderful audition experience.) However, I didn't book any of the co-star roles I was up for. In the past, this might have discouraged me, but through my bhavana work it felt clear to me that it was only a matter of time; I would book the Bull role that was right for me. When I first wrote a bhavana stating that I would be offered a Bull role flat-out without an actual audition, based on the strength of my past auditions and my reel, it seemed like a crazy idea; like I'd be flouting the very rules of "the proper actor career progression" that I'd dutifully adhered to for so long. But, as I wrote it down day after day, it transformed to become much more possible -- and even probable -- in my mind. The producers knew the quality of my work. They'd seen the acting work that I did in my award-winning web series, Redheads Anonymous. So, Natalie's teachings caused me to realize that I was holding on to the untrue belief that every career victory would always have to be hard-won... a belief that was no longer serving me. Her guidance helped me internalize that when the time is right, the seeds I've planted over the years not only could bloom (old paradigm), but most certainly would bloom, with beautiful ease (new paradigm). The certainty that came from writing those bhavanas manifested when Brandon called me, in shock. CBS was booking me for the role of Sara! Without an audition for it -- a rarity!!! ...But he didn't know for how many days it would shoot. So, with the full support of my bhavana partners (found through AGR, I might add), I started bhavana-ing that the role would involve four days of shooting. I didn't know why, but that number just felt right. A few days of doing this goes by, and then I get the message from Brandon: it's going to be a four-day role. Again, he's surprised (and understandably so) -- but I'm not! I knew it all along, thanks to my work with AGR ;-) Ultimately -- although my contract was for four days -- Bull ended up needing me for five separate shoot days. It proved to be the ideal experience for my first network role; every single person I encountered on that set was kind, generous, and thoughtful. It filled me with excitement for more to come. The episode I'm in -- "Too Perfect" -- will air sometime in mid- to late-November. And from the incredible Green Lounge forum that Jen has created, to the self-work inspired by Natalie's Visualization Workshop, to the bhavanas that I've been supported in by partners found at CREATE, I feel immense gratitude for the impact that AGR has had in making this huge milestone a reality. Thank you for all that you do -- I can't wait to see what other successes AGR has in store!!!"
