It is episodic season and a perfect time to take all the fire and heat of summer and put in into passion and action in our careers. If we are not clear and focused on our true desires and strengths our abstract goals can actually hold us back. There is no competition, only us not showing up to claim what is already ours.

"I love writing Bhavanas! After taking Natalie Roy's Bhavana class, I began writing 6 month Bhavanas. Within a few months, I manifested a Homeland booking and my dream apartment. I also try to send daily Bhavanas with my accountability partners. Last week, I wrote to them in my daily Bhavana: 'I found out today that I booked the role that I auditioned for last week.' Two days later, that came true."

"Taking Natalie’s bhavana class has been a huge gift to me. One thing she spoke about, which especially resonated with me, is that as humans, we tend to brace ourselves for the worst; that’s how we are conditioned. As a result, the physical effects manifest—you know, the kind where you prepare for the audition, and then the anxiety and nerves take over when in the room, and self-sabotage happens. I definitely struggled with this, and learning how to bhavana has been an amazing tool for me to combat this phenomenon of preparing for disaster, and instead, to prepare for the miracle! It’s practically an acting exercise in itself. I love it!! Now when I have an audition I am able to get in a happy place by creating a bhavana of how I desire it to go. Imagine the emotional state I would be in if I knew that I was going to book that role. It allows me to detach from the result and just have fun in the room, which is the most freeing, amazing feeling ever! The other thing I find with bhavana-creating that Natalie teaches, is that it is about setting intentions and getting your goals onto paper. Even if the things you write down don’t happen exactly the way you write them, you are setting yourself up for success, energetically. I find that the things I’ve written in past bhavanas are pleasantly surprising me with how they are showing up in my life—bits and pieces coming into fruition, each month, in all sorts of ways. I wrote I would book my first costar several months ago; it didn’t happen right away, but the journey that allowed me to set myself up to book it fell into alignment, and I wouldn’t have that journey any other way. It’s as if the universe heard my request and said, “Ok, but this is how it’s going to happen. Trust me, it will be better.” Just booked my first costar on a new show that I absolutely love, with casting directors I adore and met at AGR. I am so grateful. I highly recommend studying with Natalie in her bhavana class, so you can set your intentions and bring them to the forefront. I think some of our dreams are buried internally, or feel too far away so we keep them private. Natalie’s class encourages you to call out your desires, and share them with a partner so they feel a part of you, not separate from you. She GETS it because she is an actor too, so knows all the experiences we go through, so it’s a very safe place to hold space for your desires and honesty. She also requires you to be specific, so there is no way to be shy about your dreams or play small. I think this is what makes a huge difference and makes creating a bhavana so effective. Time to get specific with your big dreams, friends!! Cheering you on." - AGRtist Kayla Conroy
