This single-camera, 4-week, Advanced SitCom course continues the mastery of The Rules of Comedy, On-Camera Auditioning technique, and the Comedy Script Analysis strategy. Along with the acting technique tools that simplify your moment-to-moment listening and keep you on track emotionally with any scene in any genre. Various homework assignments will aid in you understanding of comedy and SitCom TV shows and films.
Session 1 - Prepared SitCom scenes of your choosing. On-Camera Audition Technique.
Session 2 - Assigned SitCom scenes with On-Camera Audition Technique. Creating a multi-camera version of the scene and a single-camera version of the scene.
Session 3 - Physical Comedy scenes learning double-takes, triple takes, spit takes, and slow burns.
Session 4 - You booked the job! Filming single-camera assigned SitCom scenes as though you're on set.
Your scenes are performed in an Audition-style with a single camera and a reader beside the camera. Your individual scenes are then uploaded and sent to you via Hightail.
You may cancel and receive credit up to 7 days before the start date of the class. However, within 7 days of the start date of the class, no credit will be issued. Due to the nature and structure of this class, you will not receive credit or be able to make up any portion of this class for any reason if you cancel or miss a class after the start date.
