The 2 Week Comedy Class with Jodi Collins is designed for actors who would like to hone their on-camera comedy techniques. Over two weeks, Jodi will work with actors on refining and perfecting the techniques required for Comedy Roles.
Each actor will work on camera with Jodi and have their work emailed to them for review.
Week 1: Scripted Comedy Sides
Actors explore ways to prepare a scene that will help them make specific choices while also keeping them flexible for adjustments. In addition, how to specifically approach Scripted Comedy Sides for auditions will be addressed.
Week 2: "Talking head" sides ala vh1, mtv, entertainment & pop culture shows (using improvisation as well)
Actors explore improvisation and working by themselves as opposed to scene work to enable them to stand out.
