In this incredibly comprehensive and fun double header intensive (in two separate workshops, one with with CD), Richard Reed and Jane Dashow will take you into the world of commercials and VoicsOvers. They will teach you all there is to know, and better yet, how to master it.
With Richard Reed, actors will learn the business and the art of auditioning for commercials. Actors will learn how to dissect commercial copy, deliver it in most effective manner, what their "type" is and more. After a Q/A, actors will go through a simulated audition process. They will be given commercial copy to review and will work with Richard one on one on-camera while the rest of the class observes via a television monitor. Richard will critique each actor's work, give adjustments and help them give the best possible audition. Each actor's work will be recorded and emailed to them in the form of a High Definition Quicktime movie.
With Jane Dashow, actors will learn how to demystify the VoiceOver art form. They will learn how to make the VoiceOver itself work for them vrs just "reading a script". Acting is as much a part of VoiceOvers as it is being in front of the camera or on a stage and Jane will help actors merge the two together. After a Q/A, actors will be given VoiceOver copy to work on. Jane will help actors dissect copy, interpret the directions, and learn how to relax when they go into the VoiceOver booth. Jane will show actors exercises to strengthen their instrument and keep their nerves from getting the best of them. Actors will work with a microphone, a laptop, speakers and such so that the VoiceOver process is completely simulated. The class will get to listen in via the speakers, hear the playbacks along with the critiques and adjustments. Each actor's work will be recorded and emailed to them.

The Green Room does not offer refunds however if you cancel a class or an event 7 days prior to the first session of the class or the event itself, you can receive a credit which may be applied to a future class or event. If there are extenuating circumstances which arise after the cancellation period, we will offer a credit on a case by case basis.
